  • Chair, Permanency Planning Subcommittee, 2009-present (lead efforts to reform the Mecklenburg County Mediation program and to improve the quality of court hearings in abuse, neglect and dependency cases)
  • Chair, Mecklenburg County Domestic Violence Advisory Board, 2014; member since 2009 (appointed by the County Commission to research the prevalence and impact of domestic violence on the community and make recommendations to the County Commission and City Council to improve community responses to domestic violence)
